Nice to Meet You...

Profile
Picture of Me, that my hubby took!
I am a stay at home momma to one rambuctious little boy, Colton, and a wife to an amazing supportive husband, Lee.  I am truly blessed and I thank God everyday for leading to the life I have.  I live in the middle of the country and wouldn’t trade that for anything.  Country living is definitely my style.  I love the free feeling of the open fields.  If you follow me on Instagram, you will see lots of photos of that!  I like to talk...a lot!  I have a personality that can be a bit larger than life at times, so I usually only let it out in small doses.

Growing up I have always had a knack to art.  I started at a young age sketching cartoons and people.   I loved my sketchbook more than anything.   Much like I do with photography, I am quite a perfectionist with sketching.  I dabbled in poetry in my tweens and early teens.  It was a coping device for my depression.   (I’ll eventually share more on that at a later point.)  In high school, I would buy tons…and I mean TONS of disposable cameras.  I loved taking picture of everything: my friends, family, pets, trees, landscapes, basically anything and everything my ADD would let me focus on!  I continued to photography with my point and shoot, but it wasn’t until I got a DSLR (after lots of begging) that I realized I could do this for real…like for real for real!  And so I ventured into DSisk Photography!

I have also had a passion for graphic design.  And I fell in love with Photoshop and Lightroom.  Something about the ability to breathe life into a photo captured me.  So I decided to use my second passion and start Shaded Studio

Random Factoids:

  • I was voted “Most Artistic” my senior year…and I was the Senior Class Vice President!  Woot Woot!
  • I love to laugh so hard that I cry and a little pee comes out!  Life is too short to focus on the negative.
  • I am addicted to Coke…the soda of course.
  • I love cooking and crafting and doing make up!
  • I would marry Bruce Willis is a second (Sorry Lee!)  I have had a crush on him since I saw Die Hard…which happens to be my favorite movie.
  • I love listening to music and when no one is home, I will turn it up, and do a little dance, “Risky Business” style.
